where did the time go...

So it has been a long time since my last blog. So much has happened. My goal is to always blog once a month but I have not since March. April as many of you know brought a lot of bad weather to NC. The worst was the tornadoes that devastated many cities in eastern NC. So my job went from slow to crazy over night. Ryan also started his new job in April. His job started off crazy too because the tornadoes also affected many of the McDonald's location in his territory. So April went by in a whirl wind. My job kept busy for most of the summer, as did my 2 year old. All of a sudden we were rushing around getting ready for our newest addition. She made her way into the world on 8/11/11 at 7:55am. She was 7 lbs 20 in. She came via c-section as she was breech. She came a week early to prevent me from going into labor. The c-section was not as bad as I thought it would be. Slower recovery but the actual procedure was not bad at all. And no contractions so cannot complain about that! Ryan's mom was able to come out and help us out right after she was born. I had a lot of trouble getting around at first so it was really nice to have her here. Lilly loved spending time with her. Olivia is doing great, almost 6 weeks old. She is strong and healthy and beautiful just like her big sister. Lilly has loved having Olivia around. She is a fantastic big sis and big helper for mom. Lilly has started dance and just loves it. She is taking tap and ballet. She is quite good at it and listens so well to her teacher. We just feel so blessed and lucky to have both of them. We hope everyone gets to meet her soon and see how much Lilly has grown!

It has been a while...

So it has a long time since my last blog. So many wonderful things have happened too. Lilly turned two and,she had a great party. Nonna and Grandpa Garrity got to visit too and come to her party. Lilly had such a wonderful time playing with them. Needless to say everyone slept well at night from playing so hard! We had her party at our house and Lilly got what she really wanted, a bounce house. She jumped all day, she jumped until she fell asleep. She was a little sad when the guy came back to get it but just said "Bye-Bye Bouncy House, I will miss you". Too cute! We also went out for a birthday dinner with all her grandparents. She loved all the attention and was so adorable when we sang happy birthday to her.

Also we found out on 3/28 that we are having a healthy baby girl. Ultrasound looked great. We love having Lilly so I know having another little girl will be another blessing. Lilly is very excited to be having a little sister. We had a 4D ultrasound, which is so cool. It was basically a video and we could see her moving around. Very neat.

We ALSO found out yesterday that Ryan got the promotion he applied for at work. He is going to be a customer service rep for Golden State Foods and will basically be the liaison between GSF and McDonalds. He gets a car which is a huge bonus but most importantly he will be working days!!! (some overnight travel but not a lot) Lilly and I are so excited to spend more family time together. It is way overdue. We are so proud of Daddy, he has worked so hard and deserves it!

Other than that, things have been typical. I am starting to have a little more energy, this pregnancy has been exhausting, or maybe it is that 2 year old of mine??? Lilly is learning to ride a bike, she calls it her bicacel. I love when she wears her helmet. Lilly is also potty trained now. She was completely done with diapers in the middle of January and has been really successful with it. It will be nice to have about an 8 month break from changing diapers! My sister had a baby at the end of February, Eliza. So Lilly is in the process of learning how to be a big cousin which will help her to be a big sister. She loves Eliza so much, it is so cute to watch them. Work for me has been crazy busy, I just keep imagining my maternity leave in the fall and how nice that will be. I am still loving my job though, it is always interesting to say the least. Hope everyone is well and we love and miss you.
