The Garritys: Four eyes, sixteen legs, two cute octopuses... PRICELESS!

Lilly's 1st Halloween was an amazing day, well besides the heat wave we had. It wound up being in the mid 80's but was very humid. Of course even in NC in October you expect at least cool weather, so needless to say Lilly stayed inside most of the time in her really hot Octopus costume. Cousin Kayley was suppose to be a fairy but as soon as she heard Lilly was going to be an Octopus, she had to be one too. So Nana made her a costume at the last minute and it turned out really good. The girls looked so cute together.

We started our busy day going to see Meme and Pepe who spoiled the girls with candy. Lilly tired her first and only piece of candy. It was a cherry lollipop and she thought it was great. She gnawed on it more than she sucked on it.

After that we headed back to our house and got the girls ready for trick or treat. We took some really cute pictures of the girls on our front porch. We then headed out in the neighborhood. Lilly made it to about 5 houses and Kayley about 10. Then they got really hot and tired. We then headed back home, Lilly went to sleep and Kayley entertained everyone for a while. She is so funny now, she talks nonstop and nothing gets past her. She is starting to get out of the terrible 2s and is starting to become more helpful. Lilly is still not crawling but I think she could any minute now. She hates being on her stomach! She always wants to stand up, she will hold your fingers and walk around the house all day but won't last 5 minutes on her stomach.

I also attached some pictures of our trip to the pumpkin patch in October. Lilly liked the pumpkins a lot. She kept trying to chew on their stems. I also attached some other random pictures and from October. Just another month that has flown by. Well hope everyone is well and I will post more soon.
